Bug Locations
If you don't have access to a sword, you can cut bushes with either the Boomerang, explosives, or a Deku Stick jump slash. You can lift bushes with a Strength Upgrade, but they won't spawn bugs when thrown.
- Death Mountain Trail - under rock next to Fairy Fountain (child only)
- Desert Colossus - under rock near oasis
- Gerudo Valley - under rock near entrance (child only)
- Goron City - under rock in boulder maze
- Graveyard - under rock near entrance
- Hylia Lake - under bush near scarecrows (child only)
- Hyrule Castle - under rock behind tree right near Castle Town (child only)
- Hyrule Castle - in the Storms grotto locked behind a mud wall (Song of Storms and explosives needed, child only)

- Death Mountain Crater - near the DMT exit

- Hyrule Field - near group of trees in southeastern part of field
- Hyrule Field - outside of Market
- Hyrule Field - open grotto outside Lake Hylia
- Kakariko Village - open grotto behind Potion Shop
- Kokiri Forest - in front of the Gossip Stone outside Lost Woods entrance (Song of Storms needed)
- Lost Woods - outside Goron City
- Zora’s River - open grotto on the plateau near the frogs
