So you want to play OoTR... Setup Guide

Ocarina of Time Randomizer is available in all possible ways by now.

Besides the Web Generator, the randomizer can still be downloaded and executed on your local machine - however, you will need to use Python 3.6+ together with the source code from the Official Github.

To play, multiple devices and programs can be used. OoTR is compatible with N64 via using Everdrive 64 v2.5+ and Wii Virtual Console (WiiVC) via the use of WAD injection.

The base files needed for this are copyrighted and will not be provided.

Emulators

The Ocarina of Time Randomizer can be played on emulators. Given the quality difference in N64 Emulation, not every emulator can be recommended though.

Recommended Emulators are:

Windows

Retroarch - Setup Guide

Bizhawk - Setup Guide

If your computer is not powerful enough to run either of the above to an acceptable level, then it is suggested to play on:

Project64 - Setup Guide

Keep in mind that Project64 is not generally recommended, as it is very inaccurate in its emulation.

MacOS

OpenEmu
